What is the return policy for FCT Press?

If you are not satisfied with our products, you may return them. All returned items must be in resaleable, unused condition, with no visible signs of wear or use. You can choose to receive store credit, an exchange, or a full refund (not including shipping & handling charges). All returns must be postmarked within 30 days of the purchase date. See instructions below for details.


What if I the item I receive is damaged?

If you have received damaged merchandise, you may request a replacement. You must email customer service at orders@criticalthinking.org within 5 business days of the delivery date. Include the invoice number or order number in your email, along with a photo of the damaged item(s). If the merchandise is returned without this information, the refund will not be processed. No replacements will be provided if notice is sent after 5 business days post delivery date.


Can I receive store credit for a return?

To return an item for store credit: Please email customer service at orders@criticalthinking.org within 30 days of receipt of item. Your email must include the invoice number or order number. We will provide a return shipping address. Place the item(s) securely in the original packaging, along with your invoice number or order number, and drop off the item for exchange at the shipper noted on the label. Once we have received your return, we will send you a store credit code via email; it can be used for future purchases. Note: Store credit does not include shipping & handling charges. When returning merchandise, it is necessary to include the invoice number or order number to receive full credit. If the merchandise is returned without this information, the credit will not be processed until the invoice number or order number is received. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify receipt of such information.

Can I return an item?
 

To return an item for a full refund/Customer 30 Day Money Back Guarantee: Please email customer service at orders@criticalthinking.org within 30 days of receipt of item. Your email must include the invoice number or order number, as well as your exchange request. We will provide a return shipping address. Place the item(s) securely in the original packaging, along with your invoice number or order number, and drop off the item for return at the shipper noted on the label. Once we have received your return, we will refund your payment in the same form as the original order.

Note: Refunds do not include shipping & handling charges. When returning merchandise, it is necessary to include the invoice number or order number to receive full credit. If the merchandise is returned without this information, the refund will not be processed until the invoice number or order number is received. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify receipt of such information.

Can I exchange an item?

To return an item for exchange: Please email customer service at orders@criticalthinking.org within 30 days of receipt of item. Your email must include the invoice number or order number, as well as your exchange request. We will provide a return shipping address. Place the item(s) securely in the original packaging, along with your invoice number or order number, and drop off the item for exchange at the shipper noted on the label. Please note that you will pay shipping costs for the return, and we will pay the shipping & handling charges for the item requested for exchange. Once we have received your return, we will ship the item requested for exchange. Note: When returning merchandise for exchange, it is necessary to include the invoice number or order number. If the merchandise is returned without this information, the exchange will not be processed until the invoice number or order number is received. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify receipt of such information.

What is your Bulk Purchases: Bookstore Resellers Return Policy?


Prior approval is required for all bookstore returns. Items may be returned no sooner than 30 days and no later than 90 days from the date shipped. The original invoice must be paid in full before we can process a return. A 15% restocking fee will be charged. No more than 20% of the dollar value of the order may be returned excluding shipping and handling costs. All refunds will be paid in the same form as the original order. Returned items must be in good resalable condition (no store stickers, bar coding, etc.) Any unauthorized returns sent to FCT Press will be shipped back at the customer’s expense with a handling fee (requires prepayment or ship collect account). Credit memos will not be issued. Discount rates for wholesale trade book purchases are 30% off for ten copies or more. Email requests to orders@criticalthinking.org.
